A New Year

  • Dec. 30th, 2008 at 5:50 PM

Ah, the incessant thundering of feet running around to buy last minute presents has died off. I think it might even be safe to go to malls again soon if things stay this way. What I mean to say is that Christmas is over and the lesser, but still celebrated, Holiday of New Year is at hand.

I've always liked the New Year Holiday better, it's a little quieter, standing in the shadow of Christmas and allowing you to unwind with friends and more close knit parties; where you're not trying to convince your Great Aunt that you've already greeted her three times that evening and you're not shirking her.

As a New Year approaches I can say, although I complained a lot, I enjoyed this year. I made plenty of new friends at school, I had some exciting (if not exasperating) adventures with Suzumiya, Nagato and Asahina. Koizumi was there too, but I try not to remember that in the same light. Looking ahead there are more times this year for further mischief to be caused by her but ... perhaps it might not be as bad. Ahhhhh, who am I kidding? Please God, protect me for another year from death and bad luck!

Ack! I suppose I need to cut this short, my sister is all excited about the falling snow flakes outside so I'll need to go get bundled up. My Best Wishes to all who read this, have a Happy New Year!

Holidays

Well it's time for another season to pretend one believes in Santa Claus, an old fat man that runs around the world giving away presents without holding a job. What kind of role model is that anyway? School, work and the brigade all continue to take up time even once sacredly held for sleeping. Time again to break into my savings and get something for everyone, I already have some idea of what I want to get certain brigade members.

That's how these things go though, you just have to accept them... or so everyone tells me. Whatever happened to my own free time to pick and do as I please? Ah, I miss spring and staring at the passing clouds from a little grassy spot in the park already. A slushie from a vendor and biking out wherever I wanted without worrying about the weather.

Back on the subject of X-mas apparently I'm getting a late Birthday combined with a punishment at the Christmas party. What kind of logic is that? Pick one or the other, Haruhi! Wait! Just pick the first one!

Why me?

It's a question I've been asking myself constantly the last week... maybe longer. Probably ever since I joined the Brigade. But that aside Haruhi has hit me with her plans to do a skit, a musical, a future movie, a snowball fight and a trip to Canada (That I'm not even able to go on!).

How is someone supposed to react to that kind of deluge of information? What happened to my own plans? Did I have any? That's not the point! I did manage to earn "points" in the Brigade... I'm not sure what they do but I'm sure they're much better than whatever penalty Haruhi was talking about earlier.

If it's not one thing it's another...

School work is already beginning to bear down upon me like some sort of invisible giant: crushing me beneath it's heel to prevent me from grasping at any additional time for myself. Not to mention my part time job hours are still being eroded away by someone who refuses to accept a lack of safety and sanity in this world.

Yesterday was another fantastic use of time, as I think the skills between Koizumi and I in Go are starting to shift. That is to say that I had stones on the board left afterward. For once. I checked the website again, few hits, but I think they're mostly Haruhi and I checking the web page. I haven't seen Mikuru actually use a computer yet, and Yuki seems only interested in books. I still wonder if they're truly okay after what Haruhi put them through. I think that counts as an honest effort towards spreading the word of the MASOS brigade however, so that's it for me today.

Summer Vacation Ends

It seems Haruhi finally found this website, I haven't much to say about that except: I apologize to the Computer Club Chief: may he rest in peace. I suppose I'll have to watch what I say here now. It did ruin any plans of posting Miss Asahino's pictures though.

But now that I know she's reading I'd like to address a point she made: I wasn't questioning the method of spreading the word of the MSOS brigade. By comparison to previous ideas this one seems to be the most sane and legal. At the very least Mikuru and Yuki won't have to worry about whether they can still marry or not, although I'm not sure if that has ever crossed Yuki's mind. No, wait, why am I even thinking about it? The idea was wonderful in fact, Haruhi. If your ideas continue in this direction one day someone might mistake you for a normal girl. So! How many people did you tell about the m-sos brigade?

Back from Otakon

  • Aug. 17th, 2008 at 12:00 AM

So a week ago I got back from Otakon and it was a strange experience, although many fond memories! And skirts, I can't forget about the skirts!

I saw the other MSOS there! Those girls really know how to dance, I'm wondering when they found the time to practice so much! No wait, I wonder why they couldn't put that kind of time and dedication into their homework! But it was very memorable, I look forward to seeing it again some day!
